Dave McIntyre & Sky Sports

Dave McIntyre's face may not be that well known but he has been a very familiar voice for sports fans through his work on Newstalk. Dave is unique in that he commentates on four leading sports - Football, Rugby, Gaelic & Hurling - on both Radio and TV, which are radically different skills.

A late starter in broadcasting, Dave is a Business & Law graduate who started out in banking as a relationship manager. Dave then went to work for Beat FM & then on to Newstalk. He is lead commentator on Newstalk's Premier League football coverage, their Champions Cup rugby and also their GAA coverage.

He has worked on some of sports leading competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Premier League, Champions Cup, GuinnessPro12 & the Amlin Challenge Cup.

Navy Blue Sports were appointed by Dave to guide his career in the immediate future. We partnered Dave with Sky Sports firstly as a lead commentator on their 2013 Champions Cup rugby coverage and then on their first venture into GAA with their coverage of the GAA All Ireland Championship 2014 through to 2016.

He was then appointed by TV3 as their lead commentator for their UEFA Champions League coverage in the summer of 2015 & he also worked for TV3 on their rugby coverage of the RWC 2015.

In February 2017 Navy Blue Sports partnered Dave with BT Sport to work on their rugby coverage which looks like it will be a long lasting partnership.

Dave has led Eir Sport's (formerly Setanta Sports) coverage of the Allianz football & hurling leagues for 8 years now & is also one of their lead commentators on their coverage of the UEFA Europa League.

Dave is also an excellent MC & he has hosted some unique events including a rare audience with Roy Keane for VW and private RBS Six Nations preview's for Accenture interviewing rugby icons Brian O'Driscoll, Paul O'Connell, Martin Johnson & Keith Wood.
